Happy Full Moon friends,
So much has already happened in this Lunar phase. A shedding. Yes. I've been teaching Moon Classes at Sacred City. While I've been moon charting for over a year now, teaching the class has left me way more in tune with the moon than I ever thought. This Full Moon has given me vivid and prophetic dreams. I wake up with this warmth in my heart, and this knot in my throat.. Tears come easy to my eyes. I recently felt the need to watch the movie I AM, in which they described this emotion as "elation." That term in of itself made my eyes well up. For a long time I thought this "crying" thing made me broken. It made me feel that my emotion were unstable.. because I would cry at the simplest things. I would see the beautiful fall trees.. and cry. I would see something touching, and tear up. For a long time this swell of emotions I would get made me feel ashamed. It made me feel "scary." I cried so easily, but how could I explain that these were not tears of sadness, but tears of feeling the heart.
After watching the documentary I AM, when they spoke of the feeling of elation, I felt whole again. Not broken. Because I feel. A spectrum of joy so overpowering it brings tears to my eyes.
For the past few nights I've dreamed of spiders. Spiders crawling all over me, in my bed, on the walls.. but I have not been grossed out or afraid because the spiders speak. They are all whispering to me. In fact I've seen spiders in my third eye more this last month than ever before. Spider Medicine speaks of weaving and creating.. but more importantly I feel The Spider Woman near when I dream of these Spiders.
Spider Woman is a metaphor for "She who creates from a central source." She is assosiated with spiders, webs, weaving, creating, and dream catchers. She sits at the center of "The Web" of life, connecting all people, things, places and events. She is the divine feminine, the source of creativity and life. She is the feeling of elation.
During dreaming we are removed from our conscious level to float freely through this web. We learn and experience things outside our realm of physical consciousness.. This is when our subconscious learns lessons for us to "re-learn" later in life.
Today I woke up from a dream with the above image in my mind's eye. Before anything else (except a quick espresso) I sat down and created this. There was no sketch or calculations.. it was created directly from my heart. The way art should be made... from the source.
I sent a quick picture of it to Sterling.. saying "This is the first piece of art that I've created that I actually like."
Last night I captured this image of the moon. Her reflection was cast on the near by buildings and I felt a swell of emotions again. This time extreme gratitude for the path I'm on, and all of the opportunities along the way. Opportunities to teach, learn, and grow.

Spirits, Angels and Skulls.. Oh My!
Yesterday started out as a typical work day. I was trying to finish this card before Halloween festivities began. This is The Blood Moon card from the Spirit De La Lune deck. It is a spooky, darker themed card and I LOVE it. At first I didn't. I showed a progress shot to Marissa and she didn't like it either. Neither of us were "feeling" the original card. After working on it, and sending more and more progress shots, and discussing things, trying new things we felt right with this card. I worked on this card for about 12 hours and by the end, I was exhausted, but I'm totally in love. I loved Marissa's honesty and input. Collaborations need honesty, and I'm thankful that was provided here, because this final draft is so much better than the first. I knew there was something missing, and together we figured it out. I can't wait until this deck is done and in print. It's going to be beautiful.

After "work"Sterling and I dressed up as Witch Doctors, with a New Orleans feel. I channeled a past life a bit last in this costume. I even carried a gris gris bag, a poppet, and some cards! I have very distinct memories of some of my past lives from the south. One is from the Civil War era where I first learned how to read Tarot Cards and other forms of divination and another life is from the 20s and 30s in New Orleans. I worked as a medicine woman in a small shop, and helped heal, bless, and make magick. I have more uncovering to do with these past lives, but I figured a good way to start would be dressing up as what I felt it would be like... though I don't think I wore a glow in the dark corset back then.
We spent the evening with Jenica and Jacob. Jenica went as an Earth Goddess, she wore parts of my fairy costume from a few years ago.. She looked so perfect in the dress, and it fit her so well! Jacob went as Ebola, but I some how don't have any pictures of him. He wore a black morph suit with glow sticks of the Ebola virus.
We started the night out cooking dinner together. I love to cook, and I love to cook for and with other people. Even if my table only sits two and we squish together to try to eat, it's still fun. Later we went downtown for some drinks, but felt the crowds were a little much so we went to a little party where we danced, chatted, drank and had fun. I danced again. Never in my life have I had so many opportunities to dance. I'm not a fan of dancing. I don't enjoy it.. I feel terribly awkward. But yesterday, I danced with Sterling. Cause I figure, I would rather dance awkwardly than sit alone.
Before we left I created an altar for Samhain, and Dia de los Muertos. This time of year, the veil between worlds is the thinnest, and I like to honor loved ones who have passed on. I also love to invite loved ones to visit for a few days in spirit. Yesterday we called on Jenica and Sterling's sister to come party with us. She was a baby when she passed away. Sterling never got to meet her on the Earthly plane, and I'm not sure how much memory Jenica has with her either. Though both of them recognize her spirit with them often. Yesterday Jenica and Sterling wanted a picture together, try as I might I couldn't get a picture without a light flair! I took about 5 pictures in a row, and there was always a light right between them. Jenica and Sterling aren't too clear, but it's clear their sister wanted to make an appearance!
Today I woke up with a prompting to go to Dancing Cranes in search of a new deck. I have met a new Angel of mine recently and she's been telling me all sorts of things while I start to fall asleep, or wake up, and today she showed me images of a new deck. I've been wanting The Ascended Masters deck for quite some time now. Not to read with, but to learn with. (Though I'm sure I'll be doing readings with it soon.) So after this morning's prompting I decided to go look for it. I even made Sterling Late for work! We went to Dancing Crane and had breakfast in the cafe together.. and then I was drawn to exactly where the deck was.
This deck works with messages from The Ascended Masters. It's a deck that combines Mother Mary, Isis, Merlin, Jesus and so many more. I feel it's incredibly fitting for All Saints Day.
This is my favorite time of year. Halloween, Samhain, Dia De Los Muertos, All Saints Day... They all have so much in common. A time to honor the darkness of death, and the lightness of life! Bringing the two of them together for a time of celebration, reconnection, and even rebirth.
And today I woke up with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this life I'm living. Even though the path has been hard, and I've dealt with loss, death, depression, and hardships.. I'm thankful for my ability to feel those things so deeply, because when you allow yourself to feel that spectrum of pain, you open yourself up to a whole new spectrum of happiness, and you feel all the positive feelings through and through. And I think that is worth it.

Tips on Uncovering Your Natural Spirituality
Everyone is born with a natural spirituality.
It often gets masked or hidden from us.
This is when we feel "lost" in life.
We look for a new direction in life, when we are actually just craving the old connection we once had.
Everyone's spiritual beliefs will be different, and I don't believe in forcing those beliefs on anyone else.
Though the beliefs are different, there are ways to uncover and rediscover your own.
Even though our beliefs are different the steps are often the same.
Here are some of my tips on uncovering your natural spirituality.
- Live in gratitude. Focusing on what you have and appreciate can help you feel more spiritually connected. Focusing on the good things in your life will help attract even more good into your life. And when you are feeling good, you are more open to spiritual wonders and happenings.
- Get quiet. Close your eyes, meditate or pray. Still your mind from the every day life. Stop the constant busy thoughts that occupy your brain, and slow down your foot steps.
- Let nature awe you. It's hard to not feel spiritually connected when you are admiring this vastness of this planet's beauty. It's also hard to not be quiet and reserved. It's hard to not be grateful while you are sitting in nature.
- Make time. This one goes along with getting quiet. It's hard to feel the presence of a higher power when you are rushing through your day. Add some quiet time to your to do list. Add some time to slow down. Be open. And Listen.
- Have an open mind. If you are feeling bored at your church, maybe try exploring a different church. See what else you can do to open that connection. Don't banish other beliefs just because you aren't used to them.
- Forgive. It’s hard to feel spiritual when you’re feeling angry, bitter, defensive, victimized, or regretful. Forgiving others and yourself can help reopen channels of spirituality and result in a much happier you.
- Banish fear. "Fear is the opposite of faith. When you have faith that all your needs will be met in perfect timing in the perfect way, there’s no reason to feel afraid." When you’re in a state of fear, you’re - by definition - not being spiritual. Take risks. Follow signs. Make leaps of faith. Exercise your faith muscle.
- Ask for guidance. Pray or meditate on signs from the Universe, or your divine. Sit, listen and watch how they show up in your life. Often they will be catered to you individually.
- Surrender. Let go. Release. Dissolve the barriers you erect. Go with the flow. Let God.

A Spiritual Conspiracy
On the surface of the Earth exactly now there is war and violence and everything looks horrible. But, simultaneously, something quiet, calm and hidden is happening and certain people are being called by a higher light. A quiet revolution is settling from the inside out. From bottom to top. It is a global operation. A spiritual conspiracy. There are cells from this operation in every nation on the planet.
You will not watch us on TV. Or read about us in newspapers. Or
hear our words on radios. We do not seek glory. We do not use uniforms.
We arrive in several different shapes and sizes. We have costumes and
different colors. Most work anonymously. Silently we work out of the
scene. In every culture in the world. In large and small cities, in the
mountains and valleys. In the farms, villages, tribes and remote
islands.
We might cross paths on the streets. And not realize ... We follow
in disguise. We are behind the scenes. And we do not care about who wins
the gold of the result, and Yes, that the work gets performed. And once
in a while we will cross paths on the streets. We exchange looks of
recognition and continue following our path. During the day many are
disguised in their normal jobs. But at night behind the scenes, the real
work begins.
Some call us army of consciousness. Slowly we are building a new
world. With the power of our hearts and minds. We follow with joy and
passion. Our orders reach us from the Central Spiritual Intelligence.
We're throwing soft bombs of love without anyone noticing; poems, Hugs,
songs, photos, movies, fond words, meditations and prayers, dances,
social activism, websites, blogs, acts of kindness ...
We express ourselves in a unique and personal way. With our talents
and gifts. Being the change we want to see in the world. This is the
force that moves our hearts. We know that this is the only way to
accomplish the transformation. We know that with the silence and
humbleness we have the power of all oceans together. Our work is slow
and meticulous. As in the formation of mountains.
Love will be the religion of the 21 century. Without educational
prerequisites. Without ordering an exceptional knowledge for your
understanding. Because it is born of the intelligence of the heart.
Hidden for eternity in the evolutionary pulse of every human being.
Be the change you want to see happen in the world. Nobody else can make this work for you.
We're recruiting. Perhaps you will join us. Or maybe you have already joined. All are welcome. The door is open.
