Boyfriend Style Jackets

The slightly oversized jacket gives this coat a nice boyfriend coat feel. (Though, I'm not sure Sterling would wear this one.) The larger size of this jacket helps keep you warm. I love all the textures the different fabrics create!

Leather Jacket - Romwe
Over The Knee Socks - Sammy Dress
 Hidden Healed Sneakers - Romwe

If you guys want this jacket for yourself, wait until the 18th!
Which, I'm not sure what time zone you are in, but this website's 18th starts in about 6 hours from this post.. so keep an eye on it. This jacket goes from 109.99 to 36.99, for just 24 hours!

A Merry Christmas

Wicket and I sent out this photo yesterday as a quick "Merry Christmas" post.
But I somehow forgot to post it onto the blog!
(Wicket is disappointed.)
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
I've missed blogging.
I was very very sick on Christmas Eve, and very busy on Christmas.
Sterling and I started out with our own little Christmas gift exchange.
Turns out we have the same taste in books.
I'll bet you can't tell which ones I gave him, and which ones he gave me..
Well, minus the Doctor Who one.
That one was for me.

We now have a pretty awesome book collection between the two of us. I'll share more on that later.

Speaking of collections,  my roommate got me a beautiful tarot deck to add to my collection.
As well as an incredible mug.
The TARDIS starts out in London, and once you add your hot beverage of choice,
the TARDIS disappears and reappears in SPACE.
Time And Relative Dimensions In Space... AND coffee.
After our quick gift exchange, Sterling and I headed all over for the rest of Christmas.
It was kind of a blur.
We opened gifts at my parents house and ate breakfast.
Then we went to visit his Mom,
then we took his sister to her home and visited there for a bit.
Then it was back to my parent's house for dinner and desert and game nights.
Then we ended the night with a visit from his dad.

Oh yeah, and my dad gave Sterling a sword.
I've never seen a boy so happy.
Yesterday was a long but fun day. Lots of traveling in the car with Sterling and Wicket.
We spent an incredible amount of time with family yesterday, but isn't that what Christmas is about?

A Normal Typical Couple

It's been a very long time since I've been on a "date."
Like dinner and a movie type date.
It's been even longer for Sterling, so we decided to try it.
I was barely even awkward!
Sterling and I have known each other since April,
and were writing letters and taking on the phone since the fall.
Now that he is in town we are official, and our date last night was our official "first date."

We wanted a date like a normal, regular human couple.

We started off looking at trailers.
Sterling and I both share the dream of selling all of our stuff and living full time in a trailer.
This is a very important trait that I look for in a person...
So, we went "shopping."
We pretended we had 10,000 in our pockets that we were ready to spend.
We asked lots of questions and told the salesman we were sick of society.
We asked about solar panels, and adding wood to the outside.
He raised his eyebrows at us and asked what we would do for income and how we would live.
I think he was secretly jealous.

We took tours through a few trailers and actually found that they were quite spacious and comfortable.
It got me really excited. Too excited probably.
I was already thinking about the stuff I'm going to get rid of.

Then Sterling and I went out to eat Thai food.
Since we plan on visiting Thailand one day.
We talked about our dreams of living in a trailer and traveling the country.
How I would decorate the trailer, what kind of truck we would get.
It turns out we share a lot of the same dreams and ideas on this.
Score.

We talked about the typical things couples talk about.
Like making a truck ready for a zombie apocalypse.
Terrorist attacks, and tidal waves.
Using candle light instead of light bulbs.
72 hour kits and natural disasters.
Paint balling and combat training.
Typical, normal things.

We then went and saw the movie Red Dawn.
Which got us talking even more about normal typical average things.
Like war, and survival skills.

And we ended the night like a normal typical couple in love.
We looked at Christmas lights and kissed under the trees.

Then he walked me to the door where I slyly asked him in for hot cocoa.
I was going to show him my all natural herbal first aid kit,
but I forgot.

A Bit Self Involved

You know those self involved couples that only hang out together?
And when it happens to your friends you get kind of mad and jealous
that they would be so self involved?
But when it happens to you, you are like, "No, we are really in love. You just don't get it."
But you are self involved for a little while.

I guess that's where I am.
I haven't blogged since Thursday!
Here is what I've been up to.

Playing in the snow.
Catching snowflakes on our tongues, taking photos and dancing in the snow of course.

Doing Tarot readings late at night by candle light with Sterling.
Crazy how insightful and accurate they can be.
Driving through dreary stormy weather.
Watching my two boys get along and play.
The view outside my window this morning.
Lots of beautiful but cold snow.
Starting today out with some yoga, meditation, coffee with my love,
and now to spend the day painting.

I'll try not to spend so much time away from my friends. (You guys.)
But, come on... look at this guy.
