Shop Small Sale
I can't believe Thanksgiving was yesterday! What a year it's been... Time has FLOWN by, and yet so much was accomplished! I can't wait for this next year. I can feel it in my bones.. It's going to be amazing. I wanted to kick off this holiday season with a large sale. I'm offering 30% off everything in the shop. New prints, originals, necklaces, and even sale items. This sale is in honor of all of the current sale madness going on...
I think supporting small business is so important! Yesterday my little sister saw a beautiful ring in an add. She asked about it and decided to first check amazon for a cheaper sterling silver one. I told her to check Etsy first. I explained that when you shop on Etsy, or another small shop she is supporting an individual person following their passions. They hand crafter the ring with intention, they lovingly took photos, and list it. And they await their items to sell for both the money, and the joy of their creation finding a new home. It's an exciting process to be an indie artist.. and to shop indie is so important. That money goes to their children, their pets, themselves, and other indie artists most likely!
Any ways, we looked on Etsy, and found the exact ring she had wanted, cheaper than the ads, in sterling silver, and straight from someone's hands.
I'm not sure if she bought the ring... but the point of the story is to shop small, local or handmade!
Here is a link to my shop. Discount Code: CYBER30
I've also decided to do a sale on readings! I've reduced my reading price quite a bit for the season.. in fact some discounts are up to 50% off! I'm so happy to be offering readings this year! I offer several types of readings, from Angel readings to dream interpretation, to in depth tarot spreads to simple 3 card spreads. All different prices and options. If you want a reading in person, my reading room is now set up! (Pictures soon.) I also do skype readings, email readings, phone readings, and even facebook chat readings.
The Tarot Page is here, or you could simply email me about it. :)

Entertained
So I had planned on a nice relaxing weekend. I was planning on working on orders, getting some paintings done, decorating for Christmas, and making some gifts for Christmas. How much of that actually happened? Not much.
First of all, that video Sterling made of us preparing Thanksgiving is done and awesome! Check it out. It is a 2 minute time lapse of 4,600 photos of us working on Thanksgiving. It's pretty awesome.
So, what exactly got in the way of my relaxing weekend?
This beauty.
I'm not one for liking electronics, or TV's or entertainment centers.. but this is something to be proud of.
The entire house had to be rearranged because of this thing! I would like to put up a curtain or some cupboard doors to hide the TV, but, those pretty twinkly lights kind of draw attention to the TV, exactly opposite of what I wanted... But, it looks cool. I'll figure it out eventually.
Because of the rearranging, I ended up with a whole new studio!
It looks the same, but this one is in it's own room, with lots more space. I'm pretty excited. Because now I'm a bit behind on orders! But, today is also Cyber Monday, and the last day of my sale!

Okay, so what happened was this..
Driving home, on my way to get work done, I saw this.
Backstory: I have been wanting a larger entertainment center, with the option of putting up a curtain or a door to hide the TV. That way, the TV won't be the center of attention. Anyways, driving home, I saw this huge ... thing... We are pretty sure it is a headboard, and a shelf. But, put together, it looks like an awesome entertainment center. With room for a door or curtain! I have been looking at thrift stores, but I didn't see any for under 50.00, and 50.00 is way too much to spend on any furniture if you ask me. But, this one, a few blocks from my house was FREE.
I can't really say we "snagged" this.
It probably weighs about 400 pounds. I'm not even kidding.
But, we risked life and limb for it.
Don't worry, we only had to drive a few blocks.
Sterling's dad came and helped us move it, and carry it.
We got it back to my house, and moved it into the back yard.
We spent 6.00 on black spray paint, and christmas lights, which were also painted black.
We ran into a tiny problem with the TV being to short, but we found a mini little shelf at Ikea for 8.99, that we sprayed black to match.
The next struggle was getting it in the house. It was in two pieces, so we could try to move it one at a time. But this day, it was just me and Sterling. And I'm pretty weak. We finally got it into the front yard... but I was exhausted after moving it 50 feet. We still had the front porch steps, then lifting it the larger piece onto the other piece when we got both into the house...
I think me climbing on top, curling into the fetal position and refusing to go any further was a hint to the next door neighbor, who came over and helped Sterling move it in for me.
He told me I could just supervise. I'll also bring him cookies.

A Magical Evening
I get it from my mom. Presentation is important. All the dishes must be in a nice dish. The table should be set fancy. The decor should match accordingly, and of course... candle light.
That's what makes it magical... A very valuable lesson.
Sterling and I cooked our Thanksgiving meal together this year.
He took a time-lapse video, and we both took photos. This was our first ever Thanksgiving together, and it had to be perfect.
It totally was.
We sat down to eat, and sighed at the hard work we did all day, and at the beauty of it.
The night before, I made the pies, the fruit salad, and the sauce. Just like my mom would have done.
I also decided we needed a centerpiece. And from cheap things around the house and a few fake flowers from the craft store, I put together a fall themed centerpiece. (I'm really glad I worked at a flower shop last year!)
We didn't have turkey. We had chicken.. and it was the best. I will share the recipe sometime soon. It was delicious.
Even the dogs got a special Thanksgiving meal. I gave them Blue Buffalo Home-cooked Stew. With real carrots and potatoes. They loved it.
And don't worry, the kitty got a special treat too. I just didn't get photos.. It was too dark!
We took lots of pictures of just about everything else... but here are my favorite ones.
I hope to put Sterling's video up soon!
And a few hours later we had pie.
I made some mini pumpkin pies, and a special chocolate mousse pudding pie for Sterling.
And we washed it all down with Which Chocolate Pumpkin Pie Hot Cocoa.
I know it's time for me to write a post of all the things I'm thankful for, and why being thankful is important.. So, I invite you over to Lotus Tarot to read my post there.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you are in the states, and a wonderful Thursday everywhere else.
To celebrate the weekend, with all the Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday Sales, I have decided to host a sale of my own.
One of the biggest I've ever done!
I'll be posting more about it throughout the weekend, but here is the first sale ad!
Enter the code THANKU35 for 35% off everything in BOTH shops. Guys, this includes my Sale Section! Everything has already been reduced to 50% of, so now you can take an additional 35% off. I'm seriously trying to clear out studio space, so once things are gone, or Janurary starts, most of these paintings will be taken down for good.
