Cream and Lace

This last month I had the opportunity to model for my friend incredibly talented friend Chelsea. We went to the local cemetery with another friend Katy. The three of us have seriously known each other since we were little girls... but we lost touch as the years went by, so it was really fun to get together for a little while.

The weather was freezing and chilly... but I had such a good time. Chelsea is extremely creative, talented and very soft spoken. It was fun to take pictures with her. She recently moved to Mississippi, and I hope when she gets back we can do more photos.

Both girls were so much beautiful and so much fun to work. It almost made me forget about the cold.

Check out Chelsea's blog and facebook!

The Pursuit of Happiness

The Pursuit of Happiness: 15 Lessons to Keep in Mind

1. The only person that can ever truly make you happy is yourself. Stop depending on everyone else.

2. People lie, stuff happens. Don’t take it too personally.

3. Want people to think you’re amazing? Start believing you are, and then they will too.

4. Smiling is the ultimate anti-depressant. Smile and laugh out loud, it doesn’t look stupid, I promise.

5. The world is never just black and white, right or wrong, one way or another. Try and see things from as many points of view as possible.

6. "Let everything happen to you
Beauty and terror
Just keep going
No feeling is final"
-Rainer Maria Rilke

7. Have empathy.

8. Gossip, problems of the past, events you cannot control, negative thoughts and negative people; time spent on these is time poorly wasted.

9. When you're jealous or find yourself filled with hate for someone/something, stop. The only person its hurting is you.

10. Although the newest, most expensive material things may make you feel as if you’re a better person, they won’t hold you at night or listen to you when you need it. Make sure your priorities make sense.

11. Step outside your comfort zone- it’s when you’ll really feel alive.

12. Don’t be afraid to be yourself, the people who really matter, don’t mind

13. Let your emotions out sometimes, humans have them for a reason.

14. Celebrate the things you have. Think only positively of the things you don’t (but would like to have) and they too will come.

      15. Love unconditionally ♥.

Fact :

A Little Bit Of Red

I dyed my hair today. I never really think things through when it comes to my hair. I get an idea to dye it, and I go out and dye it. Or I decide I want it shorter, so I cut it. I get bored with my hair too easily... and I'm also a pretty spontaneous person, so my hair changes quite often. I decided to go a little darker with a touch of red.

Point Of View

Sometimes I lift Mowgli up onto my shoulder and walk him around the house so he can see what it's like being a tall like me. So he can see the the table tops look like, and how to look out windows. He can see the tops of the cat's heads and see where all his toys are.  He can see what I see, and what it's like to take big steps.
Sometimes I get down on the ground with Mowgli so I can see what he sees. I get to see the table legs, and the cat feet up close. The world looks a lot bigger when you are that close to the ground.

"Rachael, you are weird."

Believe me.. I know.

Snowed In

I feel a bit snowed in today.. I woke up to snow covered tree tops and a stuffy nose. As the day progresses I seem to get sicker and sicker. I'm not happy about this, since I am home alone all day.. feeling a bit cold and sorry for myself.
But I have tea, Mowgli and a big painting I am working on.

I did slip on some boots over my yoga pants
and sneak outside for some pictures.

I really don't like snow, or cold, or winter....
but it sure is beautiful.

You may not know this about me.. but I am terrible at bowling.  Well, I'm terrible at most physical activities. Except badminton, I rock at badminton.
This last week I went to Provo Beach Resort  with my friend Brad and his family. We didn't have time to do much, but we did go bowling. It was super fun, and I did not get last place this time. (That normally happens.)

That's Kyle and Destinee.
They are real cute together.
