Trees, The Fool, and a Migraine

This weekend was awesome.
I was able to get a lot of work done.
I stayed up until 6 almost every day painting.

And I actually finished 3 entire paintings.
The backgrounds and such were started days ago..
But, I tried a different style it's been a good refreshing change.
A lot of the trees I paint tend to have a lot of bold unnatural colors in the background, and just tree silhouettes, almost too stylized.. and I decided a while ago, that this style just wasn't fitting me anymore.
So, I shifted gears a bit and am going for a slightly more realistic look, with softer muted colors.

Last night I snuggled up in bed with my two pups very excited and eager about the next day.
I was going to wake up early, take photos of the paintings, the cards, and the rest of the framed art.
I was going to post a giveaway to the blog today too..

But, I woke up around 4 am with a killer headache.
I went back to sleep to try and sleep it off. I woke up again at 9 with the headache even worse..
and by now it's much more migraine status...

So, I'm hoping to have that giveaway posted tomorrow instead.

But, until I can do all the photography, I've got to get rid of this migraine.

Oh, and consider this my official announcement.
I've started working on a Tarot Deck of my own!
The Fool

I'm going to be redesigning the cards with my own art and images...
though I will be sticking close to the image symbology in the cards.
Like the fool, she has a feather, a rose and a puppy.. like most decks.
But it's not a total copy of The Rider-Waite deck either.

I've already found a printing company who is able to print and ship these for me.
Now I just need to do the work.

Which I don't mind one bit.
In fact, I love the process of painting, designing, even photographing..
It's the editing, listing, and posting that bothers me.
Maybe it's my super slow computer,
Maybe I need to hire someone..
