Point Of View

Sometimes I lift Mowgli up onto my shoulder and walk him around the house so he can see what it's like being a tall like me. So he can see the the table tops look like, and how to look out windows. He can see the tops of the cat's heads and see where all his toys are.  He can see what I see, and what it's like to take big steps.
Sometimes I get down on the ground with Mowgli so I can see what he sees. I get to see the table legs, and the cat feet up close. The world looks a lot bigger when you are that close to the ground.

"Rachael, you are weird."

Believe me.. I know.

  1. Mowgli is a lucky doggie to have such a sweet owner. I especially love the third picture.

  3. Ah, I remember when tables were like vast cathedrals...
I can almost feel your pup's softness in that last picture!

  4. Not weird at all, just kind and considerate to your beloved pets! I love to hold my cat and give him a new vantage point and an opportunity to swat at the pull strings on the ceiling fan (his favorite activity). I think my dog is just fine with her point of view, granted she's a bit bigger than the adorable Mowgli and not so easy to hold on my shoulder! Anyway I love these photos and I think this post is great!

  8. Nice post. Reminds me of the stuff I'd do with my dog. She was a mini schnowzer. (My wifes parents have her now because are apartment wont allow dogs).
