A Piece Of Sunshine

I love genuinely nice people. I love people who treat others kindly and mean it. People who don't talk bad about others, people who practice what they preach. Who love others honestly. People who speak of peace and love and who practice it. People who lift others up.

I love it when I talk to someone and I can tell that they are honestly nice. It makes my heart feel warm, it makes me want to be a better person.

All I want is to give people that feeling. For people to know that when they talk to me, I'm being honest, and I truly care. I want people to trust that I won't turn around and say something mean about them, or later down the road to them.

Sometimes it's hard. There are bullies out there, there are people who will say one thing and act another. People who just want you to feel bad about yourself. When this happens I sometimes want to fight back, I want to hurt the other person back. Oh boy, it's hard to control myself sometimes.. but I've found the best way to deal with a mean person is to just be nice.

Genuinely nice.
Look for something good in them.
Give them a compliment, be nice to them.

It will make you feel better. Really.

The first step to world peace starts with you, and how you treat others.
Be a good example and practice peace.

A lot of people think it's in, and hip to wear a peace sign necklace or bracelet.
The best way to show you support peace is to simply live it.

Rules to live by:
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

But it doesn't end there, because the bully's remarks can still hurt.
It's hard, but just let it be. Forget about, and move on.

Sometimes it takes time, and you just have to realize that we are all different.
And all beautiful.

Be yourself, don't let anyone bring you down.

The world is a beautiful place, sometimes it can seem dreary...
But we all have sunshine in us.
Let's share it with others.

Be a piece of sunshine in this dreary world.

New painting available in the shop, part of the "Forgotten Forest" mini art series.

  1. I love this 'cause I used to be a person that like making fun of others, and now it just makes me sick when someone makes fun of someone jsut for the sake of doing it. I want to be a good person and treat everyone like I want to be treated. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it sure gets easier every day.

  2. That is something my mom always taught me. i was the one being made fun of as a kid. My mom told me treat others the way you want to be treated and they'll come around and it actually worked.

  6. I really like the composition of the painting and how the red is exactly the color of red in low lighting. Makes me want to return to painting as well...

  7. That's a so important post! You have to think about that over and over until it works out. I'm trying everyday. And I'm hoping I'm getting better at it. Thanks!
