Springtime in DC

After our trip to the Outer Banks we explored Raleigh for a bit.
I am so in love with this city.
This is the LDS Temple. Beautiful.
I love spring time.
Next we explored the Oakwood Cemetery,
One of my favorite places here in North Carolina.
I even found a four leaf clover. (more on that later)
We explored the cemetery for a while.
Everyone seemed interested except poor Seth.

The next day we headed out to Washington DC
Seth didn't care for Washington DC at all.
Happy camper?
Oh, how I love my new brother....
Washington DC is so amazing.
I wish we had more time there.
We went to a few museums.
I could have spent days in each museum...
But we only had a few hours to go to them before they closed.
We were only able to spend a day and a half in Washington DC.
We headed back late that night and came home to a very distraught canine.
We had to leave him over night. I felt bad and really didn't want to but we didn't have a choice.
We came in at 3 in the morning to a very excited puppy friend.

I held him in my arms giving him kisses as he hyperventilated and whined with excitement.
It feels good to be loved.

Tomorrow we move.
Are we packed?
Nope.

I just don't want to go.

This is...

This is going to be a lot of pictures.
This is our vacation to The Outer Banks.
The Outer Banks is a 200-mile long string of narrow barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina.

This is the Roanoke Marches Lighthouse
This is Mowgli.. contemplating the surf.

This is after I chased him around the beach.

This is Taylor and his brother Seth searching for shark teeth.
This is not a shark tooth..
This is not a shark tooth either.
This is Seth, he is really funny and makes me laugh a lot.
This is an arm wrestle between Taylor and his youngest brother Seth.
I won't tell you who won...
This is Taylor's family who came to visit from Utah.
This is Taylor's Step Dad, his Mom, Seth, Taylor and me.
This is Mowgli with his new best friend..
Taylor's mom always gave him the best treats.
This is me waiting with Mowgli.
This is when Seth came to keep me company.
This was a good day to fly kites.
This is me looking like a bad pet owner.
But.. come on.. funny?
 He was fine. Promise.
This is the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
This was a really good and funny game of pool.

This was the coolest store EVER.
It was built out of shipwreck pieces.
It sold such amazing stuff.
This is the Ferry Ride
Mowgli is terrified of water.
This is brotherly love.
This is one of those times I shouldn't be laughing.
This is the Ocracoke Lighthouse
 This is a beautiful sunset.

I have many many more pictures to go through... and post.
We went to Washington DC for a few days too.
I will try to post them before I get too caught up in this big move.

We had so much fun with Taylor's family.
It was sad to see them leave.

The Important Things

Today was a full day of packing and cleaning.
My back is killing me!
The worst part about moving is taking down the decorations.
Because for the last few days when you are living in your house.. it doesn't feel like your house.

Our lives are in boxes.
But the important things are in bags.

Why?

Well, in just a few hours Taylor and I are going to the beach.

After we catch a few hours of sleep and pick up some family members from the airport, of course.

Mowgli has been stressing.. he knows what it means when we put stuff in bags and boxes.

He knows if he doesn't want to get left behind.. he better place himself in a bag.
Smart guy.
