This weekend was a bit of a weepy one.
I haven't been feeling too happy lately..
The anniversary of Mowgli's passing is coming up in a few days.
I've been feeling a bit sad, and depressed.
Then a few nights ago, Brad's Aunt passed away.
We spent a while on the couch hugging and crying.
Life can be full of such pain..
The pain of loosing Mowgli feels just as strong as it did a year ago.
I think it always will.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned...
is that pain doesn't just go away.
no.
Sometimes we are able to bury it.
For a while.
Sometimes it stops hurting as much, but the really, the pain stays.
Pain takes up room in our hearts, and if we aren't careful,
it can fill it to the brim.
But another thing I've learned is that hearts are resilient..
they do a lot of bending and stretching.
To keep our heart from filling with pain, we must love.
Sometimes this causes more pain, but we have to love even more.
Because loving makes the heart grow,
and when your heart is constantly growing,
the pain just can't keep up.
