Healing Spaces

This last week I was pretty quiet on Instagram  art wise at least. In fact the studio is gathering a bit of dust... I just haven't felt much like creating. I've been working on a commission and that secret collaboration I mentioned... but for some reason there is a bit of a block. But, I'm learning how to deal with these blocks, and view them as natural. Blockages happen, and it's okay... because that means it's time to focus on other things.

I have been very fatigued lately. Having a hard time getting out of bed, a hard time focusing, or getting much done. I've been trying to ride it, and understand that this process is natural... but sadly the process is upsetting to me. So, I'm trying to look at it in different ways... trying to understand what is causing this.
I feel like a big part of it is my exercise routine has been lost. In June I got sick, and I was sick on and off for nearly a month! It kin of broke my exercise routine, and I've had a tough time getting back to it. I feel that working out gives me energy, and helps clear my mind to work on other things.. so when my other projects fall short, its probably because I'm not working out like I should!

Hiking is a favorite exercise of mine too... but it's been way too hot to hike lately! We've enjoyed some cooler weather last week, so we decided to take the short hike up to our field. We spent a short time there, took some photos, gathered some dirt and enjoyed the peace.
And the peace was real.
I live in a beautiful state, and this is my favorite place here.

This place is very healing for me. If I could have a little cabin here, I would.

I'll be moving about 40 minutes away from the field in about 2 months, so every chance we get here is enjoyed thoroughly.

  2. This is up provo canyon, up big springs park.. you drive up to the tip top parking lot, where you look down on the pavilions, then you hike to the trail to the left, it loops around to this field. OR you could drive up provo canyon, past big springs, up until you reach a dead end, and follow a dirt trail with your car to a random dirt lot with a random picnic table and outhouse, and you go up the only small trail on foot, it loops around to the field from the back! I hope this makes sense... I'm bad with directions!

  4. Did you write that you will be moving? Congratulations for finding a new house and getting away from the annoying owner. Maybe you feel fatigued because of too many things going on in your life (or to worry about) and your soul not having enough white space to recharge and be creative. Take care of yourself and don't be too hard with yourself.
