Thursday Threads and Some Ramblings

Dress- Forever 21
Coat - Thrifted
Hat - Forever 21
Boots - Forever Young

We stopped in Jerome for photos. I love abandoned buildings and broken windows. Looking through the windows of this old store was very interesting. There were toys on the shelf still, and lots of broken bottles. I like to look through the past and feel what remains.

I've been sick for the last few days again, and was way too tired for a full moon ceremony last night.
Sterling and I tried to make goals for the month, but I just kept repeating "I dunnnooo" as I was drifting off to sleep on the couch. It's been a rough week, but I can't believe it's almost over.

I've been faced with a pretty big opportunity. A full time position has opened up at my school, and I'm debating on taking it... meaning even less time for my art.
I'm torn right now.

We need the money, but I would love to be doing art full time.
I know that if I focused on my art full time I would be able to make ends meet...
but there is that small period of the drop.
And I'm a bit afraid.

Sterling is pushing me to quit entirely and focus only on my art.
He is the only person not excited about the job offer.
It's great to be so supported, I've never really had that before.

Decisions... decisions.. decisions.

  1. When we look back on life we don't remember the money we made but doing what we love. The universe will provide, we just have to be willing to take the leap.
    Take care :)

  2. Girl, if you can: afford living somewhere, afford food, take care of your fur baby and afford any medication/medical bills, than I agree with your boyfriend. I truly believe every so often, we need to take a big ol' risk to turn our hobby into our life source.

However, you also have GOT to follow your heart, your soul, your intuition. If you keep feeling like this is a really bad idea (the job OR quitting completely) than don't. do. it. until the time feels right.

Not much of a help, I know!!! <3 Let me know what you decide!

  3. My dad always says that his biggest regret was not focusing more on his art sooner. He's worked for 23 years running his own business that lets him work on art, but he always tells me "Someday I just want to be able to sit and paint watercolors of boats all day". So I say, don't let 23 years go by doing something that you won't enjoy as much as your artwork!

  4. I love your whole entire outfit, but especially the coat. And I think that if you really love doing your art, you should invest most of your time and effort in it.
