Welcome Spring!

In case you missed it,
today was the first day of Spring!

I will be celebrating by going to the Holi Fest.
I would plant a garden, but here it Utah, it will probably snow again in about 3 days.

  2. Happy Spring. You can always start seedlings indoors in egg cartons or leftover containers for yogurt or margarine. Then when the weather is ready, your plants will have a head start. 'Grow where you are planted.'

  4. Start your garden inside in cartons. That is what Lesa and I do. There are also some plants like peas, carrots, lettuce, spinach, and onions that you can plant in the colder season, (early March or so) and they can hold out on the colder days. If you're interested Lesa and I have been planting a garden each year. It's a lot of fun and very rewarding and healthy. Also, you can grow herbs in pots inside. This is great because they can grow all year and keep replacing the leaves. Good luck.

    1. I've got some basil growing already! Right now, I'm looking for a good organic seed provider... and also waiting for my car to get fixed a big before I splurge on Gardening supplies. :)

  5. What's the Holi Fest?? Beautiful painting...you really have true talent! And the quote is wonderful, something I noticed that you are always good at choosing (do you create the quotes yourself or find them somewhere?)...

  6. Holi Fest is a Hindu color festival where people throw colored powder into the air. I went last year and got lots of pictures, and a video! Here is the link to last year. :) http://talk2thetrees.blogspot.com/2011/03/time-to-celebrate.html
Some of the quotes I come up with, but a lot of them are some that I've heard before, or found somewhere and saved it. I love quotes. :)
