Dear Dad,

You are the hardest person to shop for. I've been pondering months ahead on what to get for you.. and now it's Father's day and I am still unsure. This is the second Father's I've missed, and I don't like that. I can't give you a hug and say thank you in person. I can't be there for when mom makes you breakfast. I can't hand you any gift and watch you open it. The only thing I can do for now (other than call you in a few hours) is publicly announce, (well as "public" as this blog is)

I love you dad.
You are the greatest dad. Family has always been first and you always treat mom so well.  I love seeing that. You are a wonderful example to me. I'm so glad I inherited your artistic abilities. Thank you for teaching me how to draw when I was really young. Thank you for supporting me in all my artistic adventures.  (I had so many; flute playing, acting and painting.) You are always serving others and doing good. I want to be like you. Thanks for calling me when you think I'm lonely. Thanks for understanding me when I just don't know what to say. I miss you so much.

Fear not, this has nothing to do with anything in my life. I just thought it was so cute.
I have the prettiest family. (and the silliest brother.)

Happy Father's Day to all you dad's out there!
And especially my dad.
I love you!
