Fingers Crossed & Eyes Looking Forward

Yesterday Brad picked me up from work, and was driving me home.
I said, let's go a different way home.
I wanted to drive by my old house, and see the old park I used to take Mowgli to.
We drove there, and saw a For Rent sign.
I made him pull over as I called the number.
The lady on the other line told me that place was rented out.
BUT they had another place.
We drove to the other location to see the cutest house in the world.

And today we are going to get to look inside.

I'm beyond excited about this guys.

It has a huge gated backyard for the doggies.
A beautiful tree out front with space for a flower garden
A dishwasher for when I'm lazy.
A little room for an art studio. (Yes?!)
It's walking distance from a grocery store, AND an autozone.

Okay, that's all I know from just visiting, and looking in through the windows like a creeper.
I can't wait to see the inside, and I'm hoping things work out.

So far, things have kind of unfolded like it was meant to be.. and I like that.

I've been wanting to move for months.

Our current place is so tiny, but I can handle that.
The upstairs neighbors get to control the heat. So, it's always too cold, but I can handle that.
But what I can't handle, is the lack of sleep I've been experiencing.

If you are a twitter follower, you've probably heard.
I don't sleep anymore.
The neighbors never sleep, and the floors are so weak.
I get woken up with ever step and creak.
I'm not meaning to rhyme!
Anyways, it's caused all sorts of problems for me.
Anxiety, nightmares, depression, headaches, sleepless nights, etc.

I'm ready to move.

So, let's please keep our fingers crossed
that the inside is big enough for the bedrooms,
and that I will be able to afford this move.

But things work out the way they are meant to.
And if this one doesn't work out,
another one will.

And I have a whole slew of paintings to show you..
But I will show you only three today.

"Eyes Looking Forward"
16x20 mixed media on stretched canvas
8x10 and 5x7 prints available
"Moonlit Snow"
16x20 Acrylic and stucco on stretched canvas

"What a Wonderful World"

I'm going to be listing these ASAP,
crossing my fingers that sales will come my way for deposits and rent.
And eyes looking forward for what's meant to be.
What's meant to be, will always find a way.

  1. Oh my goodness, I LOVE the "What a Wonderful World Painting!" I love panoramic landscapes like that. I'll write myself a note to check your shop later. For some reason that painting is really speaking to me right now.

    1. Thanks Mckella! I'm working on getting that one listing right now. :) Hope you are doing well!! xoxo

  2. On a totally unrelated note, I know that you've switched to organic, and I recently found a bunch of printable coupons for organics here: http://www.thethriftymama.com/online-organic-coupon-resources.html
iherb.com is also a great resource. I hope this ends up being useful for you.

    1. Thanks! It will totally be helpful! I will look into that right now! Thanks!!

  3. Great work, I'm very drawn to the What a Wonderful World. Good luck with the house.

    1. Thanks Wendy! I love that one too! It will be hard parting with it when it sells!

  4. Good luck with your house!! I hope you get it! Today my hubby and I are closing on our first house!! I'm beyond excited! =)

    Your new paintings are beautiful!!

  5. I completely understand! I've been looking for a new place for about a month. Our 1 bedroom apartment is too small for 3 people and a big dog. Good luck!

    Also, those paintings are gorgeous!

    1. Yikes! A one bedroom apartment would be hard! Good luck finding a place! Places that allow pets are rare.. i would tell you to move in ours, but I bet you like sleeping.

  6. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!! Sounds ultra meant to be :) Keep us posted!
I adore the moonlit snow picture... my daughter loves to find the moon and we sing to the moon at night :) Beautiful job!

    1. Thanks so much! Aw I love that you sing to the moon. I have a deep love for the moon. :)

  7. oh my goodness i hope this house is a perfect fit for you. i've been living with 2 awful girls this year and it's made my life awful hell, so i know how bad it can be. :( hang in there!!

    1. Aw! I'm sorry, mean girl roommates are the worst! I hope you can get out of there!

  8. hi rachael :) i love your outlook
    - it similar to mine. que sera, sera!

even with that said, sending nothing but positive energy your way! things will fall in place the way they're meant to - hopefully sooner than later, in your case!

    1. Thanks Dora! I'm glad we have a similar outlook! Thanks for the positive energy!! I neeeeed it!

  9. I hope the house works out for you! The 2 things I want when I finally get my own house are a big tree in the front yard and a sweet little spot (front or backyard) for a garden. Sigh...

  10. It sounds so sweet. We love our little home, with all its faults, after raising two kids and 23 years. Can't wait to see the pictures. Blessings...
