Sticks And Stones Sketches

Summer time always means a slight decrease in hat sales for me.  (Who needs a warm hat in the summer?) Instead of getting bummed out about low sales I have to rethink my shop for a few months. It's actually very refreshing.

Today I worked on some sketches for the new line. I'm so excited about this. Working on sketches actually made me more excited.

 I bet you didn't know, my father is a goldsmith. I think jewelry design is in my blood. He sketches out designs, and his hands are always stained from working with metal. These last few days have stained my fingertips black. Every time I see my hands I think of my dad.  I would love to follow in his footsteps and become a jeweler like him. One day I will ask him to teach me.. until then I will improvise with my own tools and ideas.

Well, I am off to work on a few hats, paint a few paintings and design some jewelry!
