Balance.. and A Painting

Life has it's ups and downs.. Sometimes the good times out weigh the bad.. but it often seems to be the other way around.
Life does have a way of balancing itself out though. The bad never lasts.. but neither does the good.
I think it's important to be prepared for the bad times, rather then just living up the good times. I tend to live up the good times.. rather than preparing for the future bad times. It's a lesson I'm learning.

From now on I will save up money and good memories for the impending bad times that are to come... because being in the bad times with an empty bank account and depressing thoughts is not fun.

I'm sorry if this post seems negative. I'm not meaning for that to happen! I didn't sleep well last night. Ever since I've been sick I've been having terrible nightmares. I blame it on the medicine I am taking. Which will be discontinued as of now.

So while I am in this low time in my life.. I will focus of the positive, because that always helps.

No matter how low the bad times get. No matter how ugly the world seems.. there is always a bit of beauty to be found.

I have added a new painting to the shop today. It's called "The Girl With Flowers In Her Hair"
The title may be boring.... but this girl is not. She appears to be colorless. The entire portrait is painted in shades of brown, black and white. Her world seems bleak, exposed and barren. The only warmth seems to be in her eyes, and the flowers she choose to find.. Filling her full of hope.

Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you.
