About a month after Mowgli passed away, I started looking for a new pup. I am not trying to replace him, I know no dog ever could. But there is a void in my life now, and there is a doggy out there that needs my love just as much as I need his. I can't wait to spoil another puppy.
I looked at animal shelters, ads, online ads, even breeder websites and pet stores.. (Though I would never buy a puppy at a pet store.) I have decided on this little guy.  He is a 7 week old chihuahua. (But I swear he has a bit of pomeranian in him) As soon as I saw him, I knew he had to be mine. Everything will be final on Saturday.. unless I change my mind. Which I don't change my mind often.

My reasons for picking him:
He is a medium coat, which makes him a fluffy little guy.
He looks like a little mini wolf!
He looks a bit like an ewok too...
He has the same chest marking Mowgli had.
His face is begging me to be his momma.
The tip of his tail is white, so are his little toes.
I just can't shake the feeling that it was meant to be..

I looked at hundreds of pups, and never felt like this about any of them but him.

I can't wait for Saturday. I will be moved into my new place by then.. So both of our new homes will be ready for us.

I already have a few names picked out. I will let you know next week what I decide. It's gonna be good.

  12. You don't need to defend the 'replacing' Mowgli issue. So many dogs out there need a loving home. If you've got the love to give, give it.

  17. The tip of his tail looks like it is dipped in paint. Too Cute!! He looks a sweet wee thing, a lot like my sisters dog actually. As for choosing to love another dog - do we say that we can't love another person if we sadly lose them?? No, then why should animal lovers have to defend choosing to love more than 1 animal??
