Earth Mantra

For those who don't know.. A mantra is a word or sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation.  Mantras can also be viewed as "The Yoga Of The Mind."  It's a word or phrase in one of the sacred languages like Sanskrit & Ghurmeki, but, sometimes in English. The word or words elevates or modifies consciousness through meaning, sound, rhythm, and tone.

I've been using mantras for years now, though I don't claim any one religion, I know that saying a word produces an actual physical vibration. Over time, if we know what the effect of that vibration is, then the word may come to have meaning associated with the effect of saying that vibration or word.
For instance, everyone's favorite word is their own name.. We can't help it. We've just heard it enough that, when someone says it or when we say our own name, it produces a wonderful vibration and makes us happy.

There are other words, and sounds that make us feel happy, connected and whole.
There are two things you can do to make a mantra more powerful, regardless of how you recite. One is to see the mantra, as if it is being written as you say it, and the other is to actually listen to it as you say it.

I went up to the canyons again the other day. The leaves are turning the mountains into gold. We had our first snow, but it wasn't long enough to rob the tree's of their colors just yet.
I wanted to post these pictures, but I couldn't think of the proper words to show you just how beautiful these really are. I wanted to post these, and leave just a mantra.. but felt I better explain it first.

RA MA DA SA, SA SAY SO HUNG

This is the  Siri Gaitri Mantra, and is chanted for healing.
Ra is the sun, Ma is the Moon, Da is the earth, and Sa is Infinity.
Say is the totality of Infinity, and So Hung is "I am Thou".
"Ra Ma Da Sa" is the Earth Mantra.

  5. I love how much you appreciate nature and your surroundings. No matter what state your living in. These pictures are beautiful and I envy being able to see such beautiful mountains, colors, and waterfalls. But I still appreciate the beauty Louisiana and the south has to offer. That's whats so amazing about the Earth. Each state and region has something different to offer. I just love your perspective and insight to the beauty around you.
