Weather didn't permit

We woke up to a blanket of snow covering our little town.
We got an email saying church was canceled.
Taylor's jobs are canceled as long as there is snow on the ground.
We canceled our date night.
We canceled our planned hiking trip.

There is no way I'm leaving the house when it snows here.

So we are staying indoors.

Taylor is fine with this, it's all he wants to do on his days off.
He just got a new gaming headset.
I'm ready to "accidentally misplace it."

Sure I don't have to listen to the loud gun shots, explosions, voices and music.
Taylor has no idea how loud his voice is when he talks.

I will be sitting in silence happily knitting or painting when I hear
video game way too loud.
I can't think of any examples but it's intense.

I needed to take pictures quite disparately.
It's been a while since anything was added to my shop.
So Taylor put on his Captain Alaska Hat and I put on many layers of sweaters.

We trudged through the snow and were only able to take a few pictures before I remembered
I wasn't that desperate.
Pictures could wait. It was freezing.

What do you think of my make up? I'll tell you what I think.
I'm in love.
The eye shadow is from  The StarShine Company
The colors are very bright and last a long time.
The StarShine Company uses natural minerals and no chemicals or fillers. You can mix the colors with clear lip gloss or nail polish.

I think it's just amazing and I think you should try em out!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit warmer... I have a lot more photos to take!

When Life Gives Your Lemons..

You make lemonade right? Well, where do you get the sugar from? What if you don't own a pitcher! What if you don't like lemonade?!

I feel as if I've had a lot of lemons given to me lately. No, thrown at me. I feel like I am out of sugar to sweeten that lemonade... I feel a bit bruised from being hit with these lemons, and lemon juice stings

I'm exhausted from trying to play catch.

Why can't life throw raspberries? I would much rather have raspberries thrown at me.

Today I came home from running errands with a massive headache
to find a box sitting on my porch.
I excitedly brought it in.
I ate my TacoBell with Taylor, eyeing the package out of the corner of my eye...
I cleaned the house, keeping the box in view...
Waiting to open it..
I just felt like waiting.

I finally felt like I was in the right state of mind.

I opened the package to see a beautiful vintage tea set I just purchased from nocarnations. (I couldn't help myself.. sorry future macbook, you will just have to wait)

Life sure has given me lemons lately. I can't have lemonade, but I will happily sip some lemon tea from my newest tea set.

Few things make me as happy as tea sets do. I think it's because of the Tea Time I used to share with my mother and sisters back when I lived close.

Other than Mr. Taylor Captain Alaska Thomas, What else makes me happy?
 Mowgli knows...
Mowgli, modeling the new "Red Fox" hat for the shop.  Psst this hat will be on it's way to the pup in California this Monday!

Tomorrow if weather permits will be picture day. I have some exciting things to show you.

My, what big ears you have!

Chihuahuas are known for their bat-like ears. Their ears are supposed to be huge and pointy. Mowgli's are not. He has floppy ears. He is defective.  His ears bounce up and down as he prances around the house, it's actually very very cute.
I think sometimes it might bother him though. All the chihuahuas on TV and in the movies flaunt their pretty pointy ears. Mowgli gets a little bit sad. The solution?

They don't help much when it comes to hearing, but I've never seen him this ferocious.

I think the "Mini-Big Bad Wolf Hat" really went to his head.

Tomorrow, that Mini-Big Bad Wolf, Captain Alaska and I journey to South Carolina.
My bag is packed.

Yarn... Check
Needles... Check
Paint.. Check
Pencils... Check
Canvas... Check
Scissors... Check
We will be gone for one day. I over pack.

Mowgli is always up to no good.
Wearing part of my almost finished slipper as a hat.

He wants to keep his ears warm.

I had cold feet.
Poor jealous dog, that should teach him not to steal!

A few new things have been added to the shop today.

She thinks he is a Fungi.
heh heh get it?

And this girl looks like my sister Kate. This painting is named Sister Kate just for that reason.
Take a look at the shop for some other goodies recently added.

Gleeful Monday!

It's been a while since I've done a good "Etsy Seller Feature." Since I have no new creations to report on, today is the day.

I'm proud to say that I have a few Etsy Friends. Though we don't go to the mall together or paint nails or whatever it is that real friends do these days... I do appreciate their friendship and support.

Comments from my last blog post really brightened my day. Thanks!

So let me introduce The Gleeful Peacock.

Nikki from The Gleeful Peacock is an incredibly creative and positive person. Browsing her shop is near torment for me because I want to purchase everything I see...

The Gleeful Peacock sells beautiful and intricate jewelry, and accessories and at an affordable price.
It's a wonderful balance of fancy and classy that can be worn everyday.
A few of my favorites from her shop include:

This one belongs to me... as soon as the mail man delivers it.

Head over to her shop and see the beauties for yourself...

But wait, check out her blog for a great giveaway too!

All that for a spoon?

Hello, I'm procrastinating.
